Victorians for Nature is committed to protecting the privacy of people who interact with this website and the Stop the F*ckery campaign. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we collect it, why we use it, and how we protect it.
Victorians for Nature is an alliance of environmental organisations operating the Stop the F*ckery campaign ahead of the 2026 Victorian state election. It is not a separately registered legal entity. The alliance is hosted by a member organisation that acts as the responsible party for data governance purposes.
What information do we collect?
We may collect the following types of personal information:
• Your name and email address
• Your suburb or electorate (where provided)
• Records of actions you have taken through this site, including emails sent to MPs via our action tool
• Your preferences regarding campaign communications
We do not collect bank account details, credit card information, or membership numbers. We do not collect date of birth or government identification.
How do we collect your information?
We collect personal information through the following means:
• The email-your-MP action form, powered by DoGooder
• The campaign newsletter signup form on this website
• Direct correspondence with the campaign team
All forms on this site include a reference to this privacy policy. Where forms use a third-party service (such as DoGooder), you will be notified at the point of data entry.
Why do we collect your information and how is it used?
We collect personal information solely to support the campaign’s advocacy objectives. This means we may use your information for the following purposes:
• Facilitating the delivery of your email to your Victorian state MP or relevant government minister
• Sending you campaign updates, alerts, and calls to action via email (the Fuckery Alert newsletter)
• Understanding the geographic reach and engagement patterns of the campaign
• Improving the effectiveness of future campaign communications
We will not use your information for commercial purposes, fundraising for any organisation, or any purpose unrelated to nature and environmental advocacy in Victoria.
Third-party services
This website uses the following third-party platforms to collect and process personal data. Each has its own privacy policy:
• DoGooder - our email-your-MP action tool. Supporter data submitted through DoGooder is governed by DoGooder’s privacy policy (dogooder.com.au).
• Mailchimp - our email marketing platform. Subscribers are added to a Mailchimp audience managed by the campaign. Mailchimp’s privacy policy applies to data held on that platform (mailchimp.com/legal/privacy).
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram) - we use a Meta Pixel on this site to measure the effectiveness of paid advertising and to enable retargeting of site visitors. You can opt out of Meta’s tracking via your Facebook privacy settings.
Some of these platforms are located outside Australia. By using this website, you consent to your data being processed by these services in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Who do we share your information with?
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
• With DoGooder, to deliver your email to your MP
• With Mailchimp, to send you campaign communications you have opted into
• Where required by law
Your contact details will not be shared with any individual member organisation of the Victorians for Nature alliance without your explicit consent.
How long do we keep your information?
Victorians for Nature intends to continue operating beyond the 2026 state election and run future campaigns. We will retain your personal information for as long as you remain an active subscriber or supporter, or until you request deletion.
We will periodically review our supporter list to remove contacts who have not engaged with campaign communications over an extended period. You will always have the option to update your preferences or unsubscribe.
You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us (see below).
How do we protect your information?
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. These include:
• Restricting access to supporter data to campaign staff with a legitimate operational need
• Storing platform credentials in a shared password manager, not in individual email accounts
• Using platform security features including two-factor authentication where available
This website is hosted on a secured platform. However, no internet transmission is completely secure and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted to us online.
Your rights
You have the right to:
• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Unsubscribe from campaign communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send

Electoral authorisation
The Stop the Fuckery campaign is electoral matter. All campaign communications are authorised by Matt Ruchel, Victorian National Parks Association, 60 Leicester Street, Carlton Vic 3053.
This authorisation statement appears in the footer of all pages on this website and in all campaign email communications, as required under Victorian and Commonwealth electoral law.
